Abigail’s Disney Birthday Party

So now things are starting to settle down and I am getting organized…  I am starting to uncover photos that have been hiding away on my computer.  Sorry Sara… I know it has been months.

I have to say that my best friend Sara and her husband Travis have the cutest, prissiest little girly girl I have ever seen.  (She is Sara’s daughter and I expect nothing else).  She loves to play house and call her “boys” honey.  She takes every chance she can to dress up and pretend she is a princess.  So what better way to celebrate her birthday, but in true Disney fashion.

I wonder who is going to Disneyland?

The grand entrance to the birthday bash!

Yumm!

The Birthday Girl had her very own custom chair cover… (Sara you should really sell this stuff on ETSY.com!!)

A custom candy necklace station and a candy bar!

The girls were working hard to put those necklaces together.

And doing a little taste testing…

When it came to the games they were just getting silly!  The moment she spotted her big SURPRISE!!!  (Tinkerbell can fly!!)

Riding in style.

The cake was awesome…

The whole family!!!

Sara, my friend, your daughter is freakin’ adorable!  She makes me laugh everytime I see her and I LOVE how excited she gets when she sees me.  You guys are so lucky to have such a beautiful sweet little girl.  I can’t BELIEVE she is three!!!

Jeannie Williams - Chrystal,
These are AMAZING, thank you so much!! Abigail loves her Aunt Chrystal and talks about you all the time.
We love you,
Jerry and Jeannie

Shannon - Yay for blogging…MORE MORE MORE!!

Me.

I have posts from the past about a now ex-fiance.  He has asked me to take them down, yet it only makes me want to leave them up.  This site is not just about photography or design… its about me.  How I see things through my own eyes.  What is left on here is the past, but its still me.  I try not to put anything on here about my personal life, but occasionally a bit gets leaked in.

I know I am not the only person that has ever been heartbroken.  I know that people go through this sort of thing all the time.  But, I know at times it doesn’t feel like it.  I am fortunate enough to have amazing friends and family that I have been able to fall on, who have provided shoulders to cry on and have been there to listen.  I feel that things have a way of working themselves out.  I have no regrets from the past and I look forward to things to come.  But, most of all I am focusing on myself now. Trying to figure out exactly who that is.

I’m looking forward to new exciting adventures.  I’ll bring my camera and share a bit now and then.

Sarah - Chrystal, I am so proud of you! You are so strong and wise beyond your years. We are all praying for you and have your back every step of the way. Love you girl! Keep up the great blog! I have missed them!

BarBara Jane - What a powerful attitude, and one that will certainly put you on the right path. We love you!

Miss me?

It is finally over!  I am done with school!  I now have my Masters in Architecture from Texas A&M University!  It has been a very busy month with work, wedding planning, and finishing up with scho0l, and I have managed to also land myself a new job in Houston!

Graduation was a BLAST!  There is no other feeling like holding a degree you worked so hard to get.  Crazy how much one little piece of paper can mean and how many years of hard work it represents.

A BIG thank you to Tor’s Uncle David and Aunt Susie for taking these pictures and coming ALL the way to College Station to see me walk.

Also, a BIIIIIG thank you to Mom and Dad and my family who have supported me along the way.

I am loving my new firm, but I will miss all of my coworkers from Arkitex Studio.  They were an amazing group of people to work with and I was able to grab some beautiful pictures of their work before I left.

The first residence I was put in charge of at Arkitex

A renovation project they did when I was just starting at Arkitex

And an older project of Arkitex

Shannon - So happy youre back in Houston! I am so proud of you and everything you have accomplished. I love you so much my dear, old friend (well not old but ya know, we go back ;) ) and I cant wait to see you next weekend! Cheers to you! <3

Ashley - I am so, so, so proud of you! you must feel so releived! oh my gosh. your such an amazing photographer! i hope your doing well!

Thank You!

So what did I do this spring break?! Well Tor went to Vegas and I stayed home and went to work.  However, I also worked on wedding stuff and my architectural work/school portfolio (which will be posted by a link soon).  It has been almost a month since my shower but I have been putting off writing thank you’s because of school deadlines and I wanted to design my thank you notes as a test run to design the wedding invitations!

So here they are!!!

I wrote in pen “thank you” scanned it in the computer… then doodled the background paisleys and scanned those into the computer.  Using Adobe Illustrator and live trace I came up with this design:

And on the back I have hand written (scanned) our initals and our wedding date:

I absolutely LOVE the way they turned out and the linen texture that they have!!

Ashley - I love love love!

Janica - You are so, so good. They look AMAZING.

Happy Birthday Tor!!

Today is Tor’s Birthday!  He is going to Vegas for March Madness!!  We had a great lazy Weeds marathon tonight and ate spaghetti and homemade sauce (Dad’s recipe) (mmmm).  We also spent the day doing a little bit of shopping before the trip.

Happy 24th Tor!  I hope you win big!

Cheri - 24?! You are just a baby!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Have a great time in Vegas & be safe! Adorable pictures, Chrystal!
